«What the CEO Wants You to Know» is Ram Charan's business management essay, published by Random House Business in hardback (176 pages, in English).
It explains the fundamentals common to every business, from the street vendor to the large corporation. With examples from his childhood in a shoe shop in India and from companies such as Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Starbucks, Charan clarifies concepts like gross margin, inventory turnover and return on capital, and shows why neglecting them sinks a business.
Expanded and updated edition of the work originally published in 2001; includes bibliography and index.
Recommended for executives, entrepreneurs and management students who want to understand business from a leadership perspective.

Ram Charan (1720–1799)) is the Rajasthani Hindu guru, inspirator of a religious tradition called Ramsnehi Sampradaya or Ramdwara. He initiated and illustrated Nirguna (absolute) Bhakti, although he was not against Saguna Bhakti. He initiated and tried to eliminate "show", blind faith, hypocrisy and misled existing in the Hindu religion and preferred to worship the 'name of God', Rama, over God, to not get involved in false "show" activities.
