«Vive les punitions !» is the children's novel by Guy Jimenes, published by Rageot Editeur in paperback (121 pages, in French).
Teacher Barillet punishes his students with lines to copy for any mistake or lateness. Fed up with that routine, Arnaud, Nicolas, Laetitia and André decide to fight back with a brilliant idea. The story tackles an unpleasant aspect of school with humour and absurdity and plays with the codes of classroom authority.
The work belongs to the Rageot Romans collection; the illustrations in this edition are by Emmanuel Cerisier.
Recommended for readers aged 9 to 12 who enjoy school stories full of humour and absurd situations.
