«Vista cansada» is the poetry collection by Luis García Montero, published by Visor Libros in paperback (140 pages, in Spanish).
Written when the author turned fifty and conceived as a balance of memory, this poetry collection traverses García Montero's personal life and Spain's recent transformations. Nostalgia for the past coexists with an affirmation of life, with tributes to Alberti and Gil de Biedma, and with an ironic and erotic gaze.
Vista cansada is volume 788 of the Visor de Poesía collection. Vista cansada won the Premio Nacional de la Crítica.
For readers of contemporary Spanish poetry and for those following the career of Luis García Montero.
Luis García Montero is a Spanish poet, literary critic and academic. He is a professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Granada and since 2018 director of the Instituto Cervantes.
