«Vet aquí la teva mare» is the contemporary novel by Laura Mencía González, published by Edicions Saragossa in paperback (180 pages, in Catalan).
When a daughter moves out, her mother, about to turn sixty, rediscovers pages she wrote while raising her. Through them, the novel alternates the colloquial, direct present with the past of motherhood: pregnancy, childbirth, the early years, and the difficult balance between family and work life.
It is part of the El Cistell collection, where it is number 29; it was published on 20 April 2015.
For readers interested in novels in Catalan about motherhood, the relationship between mothers and daughters, and the process of letting go.
