«Une part de ciel» is the contemporary fiction novel by Claudie Gallay, published by J'ai lu in paperback (608 pages, in French).
Carole returns to the town of her adolescence to reunite at Christmas with her brother Philippe, a forest ranger, and her sister Gaby. Waiting for her absent father, Curtil, who sometimes summons them with a snow globe, makes it hard for her to reconnect with her family and reopens the tragedy that marked her childhood; but in that isolated place, tenderness surfaces.
The J'ai lu paperback edition was published on 26 October 2016; the work originally appeared in 2013.
Aimed at readers of contemporary fiction interested in family bonds, reunions and rural settings.
Claudie Gallay is a French writer. In parallel to her work as a writer, she works part-time as a teacher.
