«Semana de lluvia» is the crime novel by Francisco García Pavón, published by Destino in paperback (246 pages, in Spanish).
In Tomelloso, the patron saint festivities are marred by constant rain. Plinio, chief of the Municipal Guard, and don Lotario investigate the deaths of several pregnant young women while the town seeks the culprit. The novel combines the investigation with a portrait of rural Spain in the 1970s.
Seventh novel in the Plinio series. The cover bears the title «Una semana de lluvia» and mentions the Rayas y Delfín collection, volume 12.
It will appeal to readers of rural crime fiction and to followers of Plinio's investigations.
