«Una luz en la noche» is the science fiction and fantasy novel by Daniel Mares, published by Grupo Editorial AJEC in paperback (304 pages, in Spanish).
The work transports the reader to Laberinto, a planet located among the remains of a supernova that suffers periodic destruction every three hundred years. A terrestrial scientific ship, crewed by convicts, investigates the mysteries of the world and its inhabitants. The volume is completed with «Vigésima Tierra», an alternate history in which Hindu and Buddhist laws are applied literally in a nomadic culture.
The book belongs to the Albemuth collection. It includes a prologue by León Arsenal. Daniel Mares was a finalist on several occasions for the UPC award and winner of the Ignotus award.
