«Una cometa de paz» is a children's picture book by Mehraj Khalid, published by Editorial Ecir in 2007 (32 pages, in Spanish and Urdu).
A child is the protagonist of this story about peace and hope, symbolised by the flight of a kite. The tale, set in Pakistan, shows how reconciliation and understanding between cultures can arise from a child's perspective. Felip Balas's illustrations reinforce the optimistic and approachable tone of the story, which is available in Spanish and Urdu.
The work belongs to the collection «Multiculturalidad y valores», of which it is number 10.
The work is suitable for early readers and for working in the classroom on values such as peace, respect and intercultural coexistence.
