«Un náufrago en la sopa» is the humorous novel by Spanish writer Álvaro de Laiglesia, published by Temas de Hoy in hardback (222 pages, in Spanish).
Hugo's love life is cut short by two consecutive romantic failures that plunge him into despair. With surreal humour, the novel features a man who is only a head and feeds on verses, another with a sewn eyelid to avoid blinking, and the protagonist with two hearts beating at once.
The work was originally published in 1944 and this edition appears as the sixth title in the Clásicos del humor collection.
For readers of absurd humour and Spanish narrative with outlandish situations.
