«Un monstruo en el armario» is the children's story by Carmen Vázquez-Vigo, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (112 pages, in Spanish).
In Jaime's group of friends, each grandparent has a talent: paper birds, kites, and even miniature boats. When Jorge's grandfather arrives from Argentina, the children discover what makes him different and how the extraordinary slips into the everyday. A tale about the bonds between grandparents and grandchildren.
The book belongs to the El Barco de Vapor Naranja collection, number 68, with illustrations by David Sierra Listón. In 1992 it received the National Prize for Children's and Young Adult Literature.
Recommended for children aged 8 to 12 who enjoy stories about family, grandparents, and friendship.
