«Un enano español se suicida en Las Vegas» is the novel by Francisco Casavella, published by Editorial Anagrama in hardback (232 pages, in Spanish).
Ignacio Losada and his older brother Carlos, a fading ye-yé gambler, are the protagonists of reunions marked by pity, guilt and the omen of tragedy. Between the Barcelona underworld and the figure of Chester Winchester —the Spanish dwarf who committed suicide in Las Vegas—, both pay tribute to the chance and calculation that have governed their lives.
The novel is part of Anagrama's Narrativas hispánicas collection and was published in Barcelona in 1997.
Francisco Casavella was the pseudonym of Francisco Garcia Hortelano, a Spanish novelist.
