«Un autre monde: Contre le fanatisme du marché» is the economic essay by Joseph E. Stiglitz, published by Fayard in 2006, in paperback (452 pages, in French).
Stiglitz, Nobel laureate in Economics in 2001, argues that imposed globalization has broken the balance between the state and the market and has worsened inequality, environmental degradation, and the power of large corporations. He proposes alternative economic and financial policies, as well as fairer international institutions, to achieve sustainable development that also benefits developing countries, with examples such as East Asian growth.
Work originally published in English as «Making Globalization Work» (2006).
For readers interested in economics, criticism of globalization, and development policies.
