«Trece anos de Branca» is the young adult novel by Agustín Fernández Paz, published by Rodeira in paperback (128 pages, in Galician).
Branca turns thirteen while recovering from hepatitis and must stay in bed for weeks. The photo album she receives that day, along with her mother's suggestion to complete it, becomes the trigger for a journey through her memories: her childhood, family life, her parents' problems, school, and her first love.
Winner of the Edebé Prize for Young Adult Literature, the work was originally published in 1994 and this volume is number 1 in the Periscopio collection.
Aimed at readers aged 12 and over, interested in young adult fiction and Galician literature.
Spanish writer (1947–2016)
