«Tombeau de Nicolas Ier et avènement de François IV» is Patrick Rambaud's satirical chronicle, published by B. Grasset in 2013, with 231 pages, in French.
Rambaud blends satire and caricature to narrate the end of Nicolas Ier's reign and the accession of François IV to the throne. Rambaud's satirical chronicle includes parodic characters such as the Marquise de Pompatweet and nods to contemporary France.
«Tombeau de Nicolas Ier et avènement de François IV» is the sixth and final volume in the series «Chroniques du règne de Nicolas Ier».
For fans of political satire; references to the Sarkozy-Hollande era are more recognisable to those who followed that news cycle.
