«The Night Before Christmas: The Classic Edition» is the classic Christmas poem by Clement C. Moore, published by Appleseed Press in hardback, in English.
The poem takes place in a silent house on Christmas Eve: a man wakes at a noise and sees a sleigh pulled by eight reindeer crossing the snowy sky. Saint Nicholas comes down the chimney, fills the stockings by the fire, and disappears wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.
The poem was first published in 1823 as «A Visit from St. Nicholas»; this 41-page edition includes illustrations by Charles Santore.
A Christmas classic for children and for family reading during the holidays.
Clement Clarke Moore was an American writer, scholar and real estate developer. He is best known as author of the Christmas poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas", which first named each of Santa Claus's reindeer.
