«Sister-ship» is the science fiction novel by Élisabeth Filhol, published by P.O.L in paperback (320 pages, in French).
The novel alternates between two moments: in 2082, Lee Wang announces in Darwin a programme to archive the genetic heritage of a million species and send it to Titan. In 2097, the crew of the Olympic, one of the three 'sister-ships', approaches the moon with seeds, spores and gametes; the last of the 53 vats, containing the human genome, has generated debate.
The original French edition was published on 22 August 2024.
For science fiction readers seeking an ethical reflection on the preservation of life and space exploration.
