«Secret Diary of a Demented Housewife» is the humorous novel by Niamh Greene, published by Penguin Ireland in paperback (384 pages, in English).
Susie receives a household diary from an unmarried aunt and turns it into a record of her chaotic year as a mother: a daughter who thinks she's Judy Garland, a reckless son, a husband who demands home-cooked dinners, and parents who prefer the spa to their grandchildren. With irony, she recounts motherhood and domestic life.
It is Niamh Greene's first novel, published on 25 October 2007.
For readers of chick lit and humour who want a comic view of motherhood and domestic routine.
