«Se suspende la función» is Fernando Lalana's children's play, published by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil in paperback (128 pages, in Spanish).
The play opens with a presenter who, surprised, discovers that the audience has come to see a theatrical performance; from there, the characters question their own role on stage. The text parodies theatrical conventions while inviting reflection on performance. Enrique Flores's illustrations accompany the narrative.
The book belongs to the Sopa de Libros series, within its Theatre line. The edition includes the 2002 SGAE Award for Children's and Young People's Theatre.
Recommended for readers aged 9 and up and for those approaching the performing arts.
