«Schutzpatron» is the crime novel by Volker Klüpfel and Michael Kobr, published by Piper Verlag GmbH in paperback (432 pages, in German).
Inspector Kluftinger must protect the treasure of Saint Magnus, which returns to Altusried, while also investigating the death of an elderly woman that seemed natural. The theft of his car, which he hides out of shame, adds a comic counterpoint to a crime plot with Bavarian setting.
Sixth instalment of the Kommissar Kluftinger series, set in the Allgäu region in southern Germany.
For crime novel readers who appreciate humour and police series with regional settings.
