«Sansamba» is the graphic novel by Isabel Franc and Susanna Martín, published by Norma in hardback, in Spanish.
In Sansamba, a Senegalese village with scarce resources, a young man knocks on a woman's door asking for work. From that encounter a friendship is born between two very different people who help each other despite their differences. The work deals with immigration, cultural boundaries and solidarity.
The action takes place in Upper Casamance, west of Sédhiou (Senegal), and the book was originally published in 2014. Isabel Franc and Susanna Martín had previously collaborated on Alicia en un mundo real.
For comic readers interested in stories of migration, solidarity and intercultural encounters.
