«Las razones de Jo» is the comic novel by Isabel Franc, published by Lumen in hardback (216 pages, in Spanish).
Starting from «Mujercitas» by Louisa May Alcott, Isabel Franc gives the voice to Jo March to explain in the first person why she agreed to marry Professor Friedrich Bhaer. She reinterprets the events of the original work with humour and irony and connects the story with current debates; it is a corrected and expanded edition.
First edition published in January 2006. The book is catalogued within comic fiction and does not belong to a collection.
For those who grew up with «Mujercitas» and want to reconnect with Jo March from a current, ironic and vindictive perspective.
