Rey de gatos

Synopsis of Rey de gatos

«Rey de gatos» is a collection of short stories by Concha Alós, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (159 pages, in Spanish).

Concha Alós brings to life a hidden and disconcerting world where the monstrous coexists with the ordinary: worms that burrow under the skin or a floor that turns out to be a broken wire over the void. Each story is independent, but together they form a single tale of visceral, dreamlike and tender atmosphere.

First edition published in 1979 within the Rotativa collection of Plaza & Janés, as number 215, Novel series.

For those who enjoy fantasy fiction with a psychological root, echoing Kafka and magical realism.
