The volume brings together two short novels by Ramón J. Sender. «Réquiem por un campesino español» reconstructs, through the memories of a priest waiting to say Mass, a dramatic episode of the Spanish Civil War in an Aragonese village. «El bandido adolescente» tells the story of William H. Boney, alias Billy the Kid, a young gunslinger of the Wild West who died at twenty-two. Both address violence and injustice.
The two narratives belong to the Narrativa actual collection, number 63, from RBA Editores.
Recommended for readers interested in twentieth-century Spanish literature and historical fiction about the Spanish Civil War.
