«Ramsés. La Batalla De Kadesh» is the historical novel by Christian Jacq, published by Planeta DeAgostini in hardback (328 pages, in Spanish).
Ramsés must prepare for war against the Hittite army, which surpasses the Egyptian in training and weaponry. The confrontation will take place at Kadesh, a fortress in northern Syria. While Nefertari suffers a curse and enemy espionage spreads through Egypt, the pharaoh seeks in the south a cure for the queen before heading north.
Third volume of the «Ramsés» pentalogy; translation by Manuel Serrat. Belongs to the Biblioteca Christian Jacq collection.
For readers of historical fiction who want to delve into ancient Egypt alongside Ramsés.
Christian Jacq is a French author and Egyptologist. He has written several novels about ancient Egypt, notably a five book series about pharaoh Ramses II, a character whom Jacq admires greatly.
