«Ràbia» is the contemporary novel by Sebastià Alzamora, published by Proa in hardback (200 pages, in Catalan).
A middle-aged man lives with his dog Taylor in a row of terraced houses in Bellavista, on a Mediterranean island. When the dog dies from poisoning and an acquaintance dies in an absurd incident, the protagonist reconsiders his relationship with an impersonal, corrupt and uncontrolled environment, where flashes of beauty and friendship still emerge.
Published in January 2022, the novel belongs to the A Tot Vent collection (number 755) and has received the Premi Òmnium a la Millor Novel·la de l'Any.
It is aimed at the general public, especially readers of contemporary literary fiction in Catalan.
