«R & B Le Gros Coup» (subtitled: «Une enquête des inspecteurs Roberts & Brant») is the crime novel by Ken Bruen, published by Éditions Gallimard in paperback (234 pages, in French).
Roberts and Brant, violent and misogynistic London policemen, risk their careers. A 'gros coup' —a legendary arrest— could clear their record and turn them into media heroes. While a serial killer targets English cricket and Brixton vigilantes take the law into their own hands, both seek a desperate success.
Published in Gallimard's Série Noire collection; translation by Marie Ploux and Catherine Cheval.
Aimed at fans of crime fiction and classic detective stories, with a tone of black humour and street violence.
Ken Bruen was an Irish writer of hardboiled and noir crime fiction.
