«Quinze ans après» (Fanfan 2) is the novel by Alexandre Jardin published by Le Livre de Poche in paperback (288 pages, in French).
At twenty-five, Fanfan and Alexandre desired each other; he courted her relentlessly to delay the wearing down of passion. Fifteen years later, Alexandre has changed: obsessed with domestic life, he seeks a re-enchanted love every day. The novel asks whether household chores feed desire and whether sharing the sink keeps dreams from drifting apart.
Second instalment of the Fanfan saga, direct continuation of the first. This edition was published on 27 October 2010.
For readers of contemporary French fiction interested in desire, couples and domestic life.
Alexandre Jardin is a French writer, film director and winner of the Prix Femina, 1988, for Le Zèbre.
