«Pols a les sabates» is the young adult novel by Rafael Vallbona, published by Columna CAT in paperback (214 pages, in Catalan).
Journalist Pere Palau has no steady job in Barcelona and, instead of sticking to superficial reports, decides to investigate on his own and stumbles upon dark matters. The story echoes classic hard-boiled detectives like Philip Marlowe and Sam Spade and reflects on truth and investigative journalism.
The novel was published in 1997 in the Col·lecció Jove collection and is the first story featuring Pere Palau.
It is a read intended for young fans of journalism and investigation.
