«Picasso i Minou» is the children's picture book by P.I. Maltbie and Pau Estrada, published by Editorial Juventud in hardback (32 pages, in Catalan).
The cat Minou thinks Picasso's blue paintings are sad and need more colour to sell. Thanks to Minou, the painter meets some circus artists who change his outlook. Pau Estrada's watercolours, inspired by the Blue and Rose periods, recreate the Paris of 1900 and bring Picasso's art closer, from Blue to Cubism.
Catalan edition of 2010; the English original, 'Picasso and Minou', was published in 2005.
For children aged 6 and up and for adults wanting a first approach to Picasso's art.
