«Petra» is the children's picture book by Helga Bansch, published by OQO Editora in hardback (40 pages, in Spanish).
Petra is an elephant who is unhappy with her image: she wishes she were tall, slender and elegant. Convinced she must change her appearance, she sets off on a journey that leads to a very special encounter. An optimistic view of authenticity: others accept us just as we are.
Published in 2007. The cover shows Petra, an elephant with a yellow measuring tape, against an orange background.
For early readers and for reading as a family, with a message about self-esteem and accepting one's own body.
