«Pell d'armadillo» is a collection of ten short stories by Jordi Puntí, published by Proa in paperback (176 pages, in Catalan).
The stories describe ordinary people in recognizable scenes: a family stopped on a motorway, a child taking part in a competition for gifted children, and other situations that turn the everyday into something unexpected. Puntí plays with irony and melancholy, with a restrained tone that leaves room for surprise and reflection.
Published in 1998 in the A Tot Vent collection. It won the Premi a la Creació Fundació Enciclopèdia Catalana 1995 and the Premi Crítica Serra d'Or de Contes i Narracions.
