«Paris-Brest» is a novel by Tanguy Viel published by Minuit Éditions in paperback (173 pages, in French).
The narrator reconstructs the family story from his grandmother's late fortune, money that made his parents return to settle in Finistère and that led him, at the time, to leave Brest for Paris. The real conflict emerges years later, when it's time to go back and travel the reverse route, from Paris to Brest.
The novel was originally published in 2009; the present edition is from 2013.
A read for those who enjoy contemporary French fiction and stories of return and family memory.
