«Oresteia» is Aeschylus's trilogy of Greek tragedies —Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers and The Eumenides—, published by Edições 70 in paperback (248 pages, in Portuguese).
The work brings together the three tragedies of the House of Atreus: the return of Agamemnon, the vengeance of Orestes and his pursuit by the Furies until the intervention of Athena. Aeschylus explores the conflicts between inherited guilt, divine justice and human responsibility, with lyricism and dramatic tension.
Translation by Manuel de Oliveira Pulquério. The edition is part of the Greek & Latin Classics collection from Edições 70.
For readers who want to approach classical Greek theatre and mythology, in a Portuguese edition.

Aeschylus was an ancient Greek tragedian, often described as the father of tragedy. Academic knowledge of the genre begins with his work, and understanding of earlier Greek tragedy is largely based on inferences made from reading his surviving plays. According to Aristotle, he expanded the number of characters in the theatre and allowed conflict among them. Formerly, characters interacted only with the chorus.
