«Número Cero» is the mystery novel by Umberto Eco, published by Debolsillo in paperback (224 pages, in Spanish).
Colonna, a failed documentary filmmaker, accepts in 1992 the post of editor-in-chief of «Domani», a newspaper that anticipates events with suppositions and blackmail. With his team he prepares the zero issue, delving into archives with secrets of the CIA, the Vatican and Mussolini. A corpse and a love affair turn the plot into a satire on journalism and power.

Recommended for readers of literary fiction, crime novels and historical mystery.
Umberto Eco was an Italian medievalist, philosopher, semiotician, novelist, cultural critic, and political and social commentator. In English, he is best known for his popular 1980 novel The Name of the Rose, a historical mystery combining semiotics in fiction with biblical analysis, medieval studies and literary theory, as well as Foucault's Pendulum, his 1988 novel which touches on the history of occultism and its contemporary interpretation through the new age movement.
