«Nocilla Experience» is the experimental novel by Agustín Fernández Mallo, published by Alfaguara in paperback, with 208 pages in Spanish.
A fragmentary novel that interweaves seemingly unconnected stories: a man travels across North America, a marine falls in love in Basra, someone reinvents Rayuela. It combines pop culture, science fiction and philosophical reflection, with echoes of Perec, Jarmusch and Coppola, to speak of loneliness and the search for meaning in a globalized world.
Title belonging to the Nocilla Project, published in 2008 within Alfaguara's Hispánica collection.
Work suitable for readers of contemporary fiction seeking fragmentary structures and intersections with pop culture; ages 16 and up.
Agustín Fernández Mallo is a physicist and Spanish writer. He lives in Palma de Mallorca. He is a member of the so-called Nocilla Generation.
