«Night of Fire» is the literary novel by Colin Thubron, published by Random House UK in paperback (361 pages, in English).
A house on fire brings together six tenants: a failed priest, a naturalist, a neurosurgeon, and an invalid who recalls his childhood. The landlord shares obsessions and memories with them, and their stories cross an African refugee camp, Greek Orthodox monasteries, and the cremation grounds of India.
For readers of literary and psychological fiction, interested in a novel of atmosphere and memory.
