«Néctar» is Lily Prior's novel of romance and magical realism, published by Bizâncio in paperback (236 pages, in Portuguese).
The protagonist, Ramona Drottoveo, an albino woman of contradictory character, is expelled from her paradise and follows a path of sin until she returns to her garden of earthly delights. With an exuberant Italy as the setting, the story blends magic, desire, sensuality and irony, and avoids any moral to make way for pleasure and imagination.
The Portuguese edition was published in April 2005; the original English title is Nectar: A Novel of Temptation.
For readers of romance with magical realism who enjoy unconventional protagonists and Italian settings.
