On the eve of the 1982 football World Cup in Spain, a national team is kidnapped and replaced by spies seeking information about Spanish military might. El Súper tasks Mortadelo and Filemón with infiltrating the Spanish team; they can only recognise the impostors because, not being professional footballers, they play very badly.
