«Mujeres de ojos grandes» is the short story collection by Ángeles Mastretta published by Booket in paperback (192 pages, in Spanish).
The book brings together stories of women educated for marriage and domestic life, in whom a vigorous character hides beneath a conventional appearance. With irony and complicity, Ángeles Mastretta follows these women in small everyday episodes and shows how each finds her own way of asserting herself against her surroundings.
