«Mujeres Alteradas 5» is the fifth volume of Maitena's humorous comic, published by Lumen in hardback (96 pages, in Spanish).
Maitena portrays contemporary women overwhelmed by work, home, diets, beauty, children and partners. With humour, irony and tenderness, she turns small miseries and everyday situations into recognisable vignettes, far from closed discourses: a sarcastic and close-up look at real female life.
This work is the fifth volume of the series «Mujeres Alteradas», within the Lumen Gráfica collection; the publication date is 18 October 2001.
For readers of graphic humour who want to recognise themselves in the worries and contradictions of everyday life and relationships.
Maitena Burundarena, better known as Maitena, is an Argentine cartoonist.
