«Muerte y juicio» is the crime novel by Donna Leon, published by Booket in paperback (288 pages, in Spanish).
Commissario Guido Brunetti investigates in Venice a travel agency that actually serves as a cover to move young people from the turbulent former Yugoslavia to brothels and clandestine sets where scenes of rape and murder are filmed. The cruelty of the powerful leads to their own condemnation.
Fourth installment in the Commissario Brunetti series. Published by Booket in the Crimen y misterio collection.
Recommended for readers of noir and crime fiction who enjoy Commissario Brunetti's cases set in Venice.
Donna Leon is the American author of a series of crime novels set in Venice, Italy, featuring the fictional hero Commissario Guido Brunetti. The novels are written in English and have been translated into many foreign languages, although – at Leon's request – not into Italian, as she formerly lived there, still visits monthly, and prefers not to have recognition in the country.
