Jule Ann goes out to play in clean clothes, but a mud puddle with a life of its own jumps on her and leaves her covered in grime. Her mother cleans her up, but the puddle reappears again and again; the girl will have to use her wits and a very smelly soap to get rid of it. A repetitive and humorous tale about a girl facing a muddy adversary.
For children aged 4 to 8, especially early readers who enjoy repetitive stories featuring a girl who solves problems with ingenuity.
