«Mon nez, mon chat, l'amour et... moi» is the teen humour novel by Louise Rennison, published by Gallimard Jeunesse in paperback (192 pages, in French).
Georgia Nicolson, a 14-year-old teenager, recounts in her diary her life as a small hell: her cat thinks it's a rottweiler, her father dreams of moving to New Zealand, her mother wears skirts that are too short and her best friend never misses a chance to discourage her. Her greatest despair, however, is her nose. With great humour, Rennison portrays love, friendship and the insecurities of adolescence.
First instalment of the series «Le Journal intime de Georgia Nicolson». The original title, «Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging», was published in 1999; this French edition is from 2002.
Recommended for young readers from around 12 years old who enjoy comic diaries about teenage life.
