«Mijn ontelbare identiteiten» is the autobiographical essay by Sinan Çankaya, published by De Bezige Bij in paperback (248 pages, in Dutch).
An invitation to speak at the 40th anniversary of his former school returns Çankaya to his youth and to a far-right teacher. He reflects on growing up in the Netherlands as a child of migrants, on loyalty, uprootedness and the search for a home; he rejects the fixed identities imposed by society.
Work in Dutch for readers of autobiographical non-fiction interested in identity, migration and racism in Dutch society.
