Ricardo Dudda explores the life of his father, Gernot, born in 1940, who left his home in Prussia after the Second World War and survived ten years in refugee camps. Between biography, essay and reportage, the book weaves a filial conversation about uprootedness, guilt, old age, memory and the weight of history.
