«Mariluz y los niños voladores» is the children's story by Fernando Aramburu, illustrated by Asun Balzola, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (64 pages).
The great Yanyi arrives in Mariluz García's village with mats he claims are magical. The neighbours get excited about the idea of flying and don't hesitate to believe him. A tale with a clear lesson: it's wise to distrust those who promise wonders and to think about whether the promises are real before getting carried away.
Volume 103 of the El Barco de Vapor Blanca collection from Ediciones SM, published on 1 October 2003.
Recommended for children aged 5 to 6 who are starting to read, both at home and at school.
Basque novelist based in Germany, author of Homeland, a major literary phenomenon about ETA terrorism and Basque society.
