«Maniobras de evasión» is the involuntary autobiography of Pedro Mairal, published by Libros del Asteroide in paperback.
Pedro Mairal draws on texts published in the media, expanded with new commissions, to build an involuntary autobiography. Through everyday scenes —hangovers, literary cocktail parties, watching his son sleep, a bus accident or a sentimental film—, he explores how the vocation to write is born and turns writing into a method of survival.
The Spanish edition has 272 pages and was published in 2019. The selection and editing of the volume was carried out by Leila Guerriero.
For readers interested in the craft of writing and the ins and outs of an author's life.
