Through the memories of Miguel Ruiz, a Spanish Republican exiled in France, Paco Roca reconstructs the story of La Nueve in 'The Furrows of Chance'. This company, integrated into General Leclerc's second armored division and mostly formed by Spanish Republicans, left an indelible mark on World War II. This expanded edition includes 24 additional pages with texts by the mayors of Paris and Madrid, sketches, photos, and new drawn pages, offering an even more complete vision of this exciting and forgotten Spanish contribution.
Francisco Martínez Roca aka Paco Roca is a Spanish strip cartoonist with experience in graphic novels and advertisement illustrations.
