«Los desconocidos» is the contemporary romance novel by Carlos Armenteros Menéndez, published by Odisea Editorial in paperback (192 pages, in Spanish).
After a breakup, Hugo tries to heal through sex and ends up entangled in concealments and lies. The novel treats loneliness as an armor against emotional damage and shows characters who hide their feelings. Only by embracing their vulnerability can they achieve what they long for; they are strangers to others and to themselves.
Carlos Armenteros (Madrid, 1957) began his literary career with «El lago» (2000), finalist for the II Odisea Prize, and «Los desconocidos» is his third novel. The title belongs to the [odiseabolsillo] collection.
For readers of adult contemporary romance, especially those seeking stories with LGTB characters and relationships.
