«Los Borgia» is the historical novel by Mario Puzo, published by Planeta in paperback (463 pages, in Spanish).
Set in fifteenth-century Italy, it narrates the rise of Rodrigo Borgia, the cleric who would become Pope Alexander VI. Amid conspiracies, alliances and crimes, the novel portrays a man driven by ambition for power and luxury, but also by an intense love for his family, at the height of the Renaissance.
Written with the collaboration of Carol Gino, it was originally published as «The Family» in 2001; this Spanish edition appeared under the Booket imprint in 2002.
For readers of historical fiction interested in the Italian Renaissance and the power intrigues of the era.

Mario Francis Puzo was an American author and screenwriter. His final novel, The Family, was released posthumously in 2001.
